Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is an anxiety disorder that results from a stressing event. For any person to be diagnosed as suffering from a post-traumatic disorder, a combination of signs and symptoms must be present for at least one month and must have caused a significant distress to the victim impairing his functioning.

Dealing with the aftermath of a stressful event in one’s life can be very difficult if the proper treatment is not administered. Patients with such episodes are sufferers of PTSD or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder which is a form of illness akin to chronic depression.
